Philippe Raoux, winegrower and trader

The history of a passion

Philippe Raoux, a winegrower and trader in the Bordeaux area, is the latest in line in a family that over 4 generations has made a significant contribution to the way the current wine world is fashioned. This contribution includes the creation of mail-order wine sales in 1923 and the launch of the first "bags in box" in the late 1960s.
The owner of four winemaking estates in the Bordeaux region, including Château d’Arsac (famous for both its Margaux wine and its works of art), Philippe Raoux opened France's first Winery in March 2007. The aim was to make wine more accessible and democratic.

"What we want to do is experiment, never stop, not keep doing what we did yesterday", explains Philippe Raoux talking about La Winery, a vibrant place where each experience is a delight for the senses.
